Leapros Skilled Trades is a trusted workforce solutions partner within the construction industry, seeking experienced Data Center Installation Technicians for various local structured cabling positions in the Salt Lake City area.
Key Responsibilities- Install support structures for efficient cable routing, including cable trays and conduit.
- Pull and route low-voltage cabling, including CAT 5/6, coaxial, fiber optics, and more.
- Terminate cable and distribution frames, ensuring proper connections and signal transmission.
- Troubleshoot cable infrastructure on commercial or industrial projects, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with team members, including fellow technicians, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
- Rack and stack work, closet work, and server rack assembly.
- Previous experience in structured cabling and telecommunications installation is a plus, but not required.
- Fiber splicing and termination is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of universal color codes for cable identification and labeling.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as EIA, TIA, BICSI, or NEC is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outside Plant (OSP) experience is a plus.
