About this Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Residential Security Specialist to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our emergency housing program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients, staff, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough security checks and monitor the facility to prevent any potential threats or incidents.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate client logs and records for assigned shifts.
  • Investigate and report any safety concerns or incidents to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least six months of experience working with the public, preferably in a security or social service environment.
  • First Aid and Certification, Narcan training a plus.

Licenses and Certifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of security practices and procedures.
  • Ability to influence and control human behavior and enforce security rules and guidelines.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and effectively while maintaining control and initiating corrective actions.

Mental and Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Work requires moderate mobility and the ability to lift and carry moderately heavy materials, supplies, and equipment.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a normal social service housing and office environment with moderate discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
