Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Serve as a team lead for a team of facilities engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to ensure the successful execution of daily operations.
- Training and Development: Teach repair and maintenance skills to junior team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
- Building Operations: Responsible for assigned buildings or serve the portfolio in a roving capacity, utilizing specialized trade skills to perform maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot complex building system problems, and handle various duties related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge and hands-on skills in building automation, energy management, control systems, and fire protection.
- Emergency Response: May be called upon to stabilize, secure, and make repairs necessary to maintain or re-establish occupancy in emergency situations.
- Mechanical Proficiency: Possess mechanical proficiency and the ability to use power tools.
- MEP and Life Safety Systems: Have knowledge of MEP and life safety systems.
- OSHA Compliance: Demonstrate a track record of working in a safe and responsible manner, with knowledge of OSHA safety and compliance regulations.
- Education and Certifications: Possess a state licensure such as electrician, refrigeration, or plumbing, and be able to obtain an OSHA 10 certification for general industry.
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Have experience leading and mentoring teams, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders at various organizational levels.
