We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to join our State and Local Sales and Use Tax team at RSM US LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales and use tax advisory and planning services to multi-state companies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise and quality assurance for sales and use tax consulting projects, including research, analysis, and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to expand services and deliver high-value tax advice.
- Lead and manage complex sales tax consulting projects, including nexus studies, exposure quantification, voluntary disclosures, and other sales tax mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including audit and consulting colleagues, to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales and use tax consulting, with a strong background in state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality tax advice and consulting services to clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Project management and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage complex projects.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience with sales tax consulting software and tools, including tax research and analysis platforms.
