Job Overview:

We're seeking a skilled COP Buyer, Specialized to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our procurement team, you'll be responsible for negotiating the purchase of quality protein products at competitive prices and maintaining adequate inventories to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attain targeted profit margins as determined by the company's business goals.
• Maintain product costing and pricing and ensure accurate purchase orders.
• Effectively implement buying/purchasing strategies to secure the most cost-effective and efficient product procurement.
• Manage protein inventory levels to designated goal levels and effectively manage the disposition of obsolete protein inventory.
• Consult with vendors regarding current orders and new protein products, initiate orders, schedule deliveries, and process related paperwork and documentation.
• Provide product and pricing information to sales staff and investigate protein product quality complaints.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 1 – 2 years Purchasing or related area
