Position Overview:
The Nursing Unit Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the clinical operations of nursing units during assigned shifts. Key Responsibilities:
1. **Operational Leadership:** Direct and guide the nursing staff to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
2. **Care Delivery Model Implementation:** Facilitate the execution of the care delivery model, providing mentorship to staff and ensuring effective communication with other departments.
3. **Staffing Management:** Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain appropriate staffing levels, emphasizing the importance of minimizing overtime and reliance on agency personnel.
4. **Recruitment and Orientation:** Participate in the recruitment process, assist with new hire orientation, and provide recommendations for promotions, transfers, and terminations.
