About the Role:
The Licensed Pharmacy Technician will support the pharmacist in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of medications to patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation of medication orders and prescriptions.
- Compounding intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapy, while adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
- Managing inventory by verifying and restocking medications.
- Conducting maintenance on automated dispensing systems and resolving discrepancies.
- Preparing sterile products and ensuring proper labeling and record-keeping as per regulations.
- Assisting with billing processes for patients and other departments.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification:
Must possess an approved Pharmacy Technician Certification and be actively registered as a Certified Technician.
Experience:
Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in mathematical calculations are essential.
