**Job Description:**

As a Research Associate at Canopy Biosciences, you will contribute to the operational execution of various spatial genomics platforms and molecular biology technologies. This role requires collaboration with senior lab personnel to participate in experimental design, conduct experiments, maintain detailed records, analyze results, and help generate standard operating procedures.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**

  • Design and execute experiments, ensuring adherence to SOPs and guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and data records.
  • Develop and validate new assay methodologies in collaboration with senior lab personnel.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, facilities, and supplies as needed.
  • Interact professionally with coworkers and customers, fostering a collaborative work environment.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in molecular biology or genetics.
  • Background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or working with large data sets a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with standard molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extractions.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly organized and detail-focused.

**Benefits and Compensation Package:**

Our comprehensive compensation package includes a base salary range of $62,430 - $136,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. Additional benefits include 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program, and paid time off.
