Business Professor

Simpson University is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join its Business Department as a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Accounting and Business Management courses, utilizing innovative approaches to engage students and foster a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a minimum of 12 hours per semester, developing and delivering high-quality curriculum to meet the needs of students;
• Contribute to the development of the Business Department's curriculum and programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices;
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals;
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in accounting and business management;
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management, with a strong preference for PhD/DBA holders;
• Proven experience in teaching and mentoring students, with a focus on innovative pedagogies and technologies;
• Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders;
• Experience with academic advising, degree auditing, and learning management platforms, such as Canvas.
