Job Title: Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry, PLLC.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant and be proficient in Dentrix. The successful candidate will provide exceptional chair-side clinical support and assisting to doctors and hygienists, including charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior clinical support and assisting to doctors and hygienists
  • Manage patient flow, redirect efforts to respond to changes, and prioritize next operatory room for doctors
  • Welcome and greet patients in the reception area and provide a personal introduction
  • Take and process X-rays
  • Perform patient hand-offs and enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor
  • Verify patient clinical service needs were exceeded and take appropriate action when visits do not meet expectations
  • Escort patients to check-out and complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory
  • Monitor laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day's schedule
  • Maintain emergency kits and first aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tank
  • Follow maintenance schedules for the processor, autoclave, and compressor
  • Identify, report, and follow up on any maintenance issues in the office
  • Maintain and update the MSDS binder and follow OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements
  • Maintain and update annual CE requirements as specified by the state
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Job-related experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • State requirements: As specified by the state
  • Physical requirements: Mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer systems
