About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the preparation and care of surgical patients, working closely with our surgical team to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients, including setting up operating rooms and sterilizing equipment.
  • Work closely with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure the smooth execution of surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized.
  • Assist with patient preparation and positioning for surgery.
  • Participate in the surgical team's efforts to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
  • BLS certification required.
  • At least 12 months of full-time equivalent Surgical Technology experience.
