Job Description

Healthways is seeking a dedicated Prevention Peer Coach to join our team at the Healthways Resource Center in Chester. As a Prevention Peer Coach, you will work closely with the Program Coordinator to provide recovery coaching and education to individuals struggling with medication misuse, including opioids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide recovery coaching to individuals misusing medications, including opioids.
  • Deliver recovery education to participants throughout the recovery journey, from initiation to stabilization and maintenance.
  • Model recovery success for both individuals in recovery and staff, demonstrating that recovery is possible.
  • Assist individuals in identifying their personal interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses related to recovery.
  • Support linkages to community resources that align with individuals' goals and interests.
  • Identify and address barriers to full participation in community resources, developing strategies to overcome these obstacles.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of paid office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Valid driver's license required.
