About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health Pineville. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist as necessary.
  • Properly identify and assist patients, preparing them for procedures with a full explanation and documenting on appropriate worksheets.
  • Interview patients for a complete medical history, reviewing in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history.
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if needed, recognizing abnormal anatomy and processing additional images as instructed.
  • Perform basic patient care functions, informing nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition and initiating life support measures as necessary.
  • Operate radiology computer systems to enter orders and charge procedures/supplies, documenting contrast administration in the MAR.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology, ARRT certification in Radiology, and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire. You will also need to have current CPR certification and be able to lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies with moderate to heavy physical effort.
