Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas. As a member of our medical surgical oncology department, you will provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity working 3-12 hour shifts during the day, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (GN) obtained prior to start date or job transfer date
  • Temporary or Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
