We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Dining Assistant to join our team at The Claiborne at Hattiesburg. As a Dining Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our residents, family members, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Resident Satisfaction: Make resident satisfaction your top priority.
  • Serving Meals: Serve meals to residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Proper Serving Techniques: Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques and etiquette.
  • Menu Selection: Assist residents with menu selections as needed.
  • Meal Tracking: Track residents' attendance at meals.
  • Meal Delivery: Deliver meals to resident rooms as required.
  • Dining Room Preparation: Prepare the dining room prior to each meal by performing necessary cleaning and stocking.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean tables and chairs after meals and pick up floor areas. Return all dishes to the kitchen. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Equipment Safety: Report equipment safety issues to the Dining Services Director.
  • Teamwork: Cooperate to get work done and be flexible with your daily schedule. Assist in food inventory and/or wash dishes when needed. Assist in breaking down deliveries and putting away stock as needed.
  • Professionalism: Display professionalism and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, and visitors. Provide support to our community's marketing efforts through positive and friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
  • Resident Safety: Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
  • Core Values: Support a positive and professional image through your actions and dress. Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
