This position is located in Nursing Administration at the Veterans Home of California - Redding. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our veterans.

Working Conditions

Employees of the California Department of Veterans Affairs will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.

Special Requirements

Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required. You will also be required to provide a copy of your certificate to practice Respiratory Care issued by the Division of Allied Health Profession of the Board of Medical Quality Assurance of the State of California prior to being hired.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduation from a school of respiratory therapy approved by the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education for Training of Respiratory Therapists or one supported by the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education. And a certificate to practice Respiratory Care issued by the Division of Allied Health Profession of the Board of Medical Quality Assurance of the State of California.
