Sr/Principal Hardware Architect Job Description

Job Summary:

SRI International is seeking a highly skilled Sr/Principal Hardware Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Center for Vision Technologies, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge hardware solutions for computer vision and machine learning applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development of novel hardware architectures for computer vision and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop operational prototypes.
  • Lead the integration of hardware and software components to enable novel co-design of algorithms and hardware.
  • Seek and develop new commercial, venture, and government opportunities.
  • Write and win proposals to secure funding from various government and commercial agencies.

Requirements:

  • PhD or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with an emphasis in machine learning and algorithm understanding for hardware co-design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-schooling research and algorithm co-design experience.
  • Strong technical background in machine learning algorithms, algorithm hardware mapping, and hardware architectures.
  • Ability to lead projects and people, as well as work effectively as part of a team.
