Avera Queen of Peace is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Speech and Language Pathologist to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of speech and language therapy plans
  • Provide direct support to patients in developing pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, and vocalization
  • Use assistive technology devices for communication
  • Serve as a receptionist and clerical support in outpatient therapy clinic settings
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders with a minimum of 70 hours field work/clinical experience
  • Licensed by the State of South Dakota as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
