Position Title: Data Engineer

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Job Description:

As a Data Engineer – IT, Integration, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless data integration across various systems and platforms within the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient data flow and maintain the integrity and reliability of our IT tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Data Architects to understand and implement data integration requirements and strategies.
  • Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions that align with organizational goals and architectural standards.
  • Gather integration requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Engage in data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Identify and resolve data integration issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Document data integration processes, including system configurations, mappings, and transformations.
  • Support testing activities related to data integration, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to data integration and contribute ideas for process improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; a master's degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in information technology with a focus on data integration.
  • Basic understanding of data structures, databases, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with integration technologies and tools (ETL tools, APIs, and scripting languages).
  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Proficiency with ETL/ELT processes in Databricks, including Medallion architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Sharing, and Delta Live Tables.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • Comfortable with Agile Scrum methodologies in a fast-paced environment using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
