OB Scrub Technician

The OB Scrub Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team at NavitsPartners, working in the Surgical Suite to provide direct and indirect patient care in the antepartum and postpartum settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nursing staff in providing care as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse.
• Order and stock supplies for OR, PACU, labor rooms, and related areas to ensure a clean and organized environment.
• Maintain sterile technique in the operating room, assist with procedures such as Cesarean sections and hysterectomies, and manage instrument counts to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate patient information and changes in condition to the nurse in a timely and effective manner.
• Respond to patient requests and call lights in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure patient belongings are stored and transferred safely to prevent loss or damage.
• Assist with emergency situations using calm behavior and appropriate judgment to ensure patient well-being.
• Maintain equipment and supplies for effective patient outcomes and efficient workflow.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of prior OB Tech or Surgical Tech experience in an acute care setting.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Certified OB Technician.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA.
