Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team at Hope High School Online. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers in facilitating online asynchronous courses, primarily focused on Math and other subject areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in reinforcing course information and skills, under the direction of the supervising teacher.
  • Develop strategies to reinforce learning materials and skills based on individual students' needs, interests, and abilities, under the direction of the supervising teacher.
  • Monitor student work, correct assignments, and work closely with content teachers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to school policies.
  • Exhibit competence in record-keeping and follow prescriptions for students' learning programs.
  • Demonstrate a warm and receptive attitude, maintaining a cooperative working relationship with administration, teachers, students, parents, and staff.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision, exhibiting professionalism and commitment through punctuality and attendance in an online environment.
  • Establish and maintain open and positive lines of communication with students, staff, and parents concerning academics, language, and behavior.
  • Support school staff in upholding and enforcing school rules and policies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and attend team and district meetings.
  • Fulfill staff expectations for school and state assessments.
  • Demonstrate capability to maintain effective relationships with staff in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
  • Preferred: Arizona State Paraprofessional Certification or successful completion of approved paraprofessional training test.
  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one before start.
  • Preferred: Phoenix area resident.
