We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at Mustang Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to students, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct psycho-educational assessments, identify and refer students with suspected disabilities, and develop and implement intervention plans.
- Counseling and Consultation: Provide individual and group counseling to students, consult with teachers and staff on behavioral and academic issues, and offer guidance on classroom management and behavior modification strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), coordinate services with community agencies, and communicate with parents and guardians.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in school psychology, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the development of district-wide initiatives and policies.
- Education and Certification: Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field, and certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in school psychology, preferably in a public school setting.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and proficiency in assessment and intervention strategies.
The School Psychologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with students, staff, and families on a regular basis. The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
