CNC Machinist Specialist

About the Role

Aerotek is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Midway, GA. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating standard and specialized machines to perform necessary operations in assigned departments.

Responsibilities

• ">
• Set up and operate CNC lathes (horizontal and vertical) and CNC milling machines.">
• Operate manual lathes and manual mills.">
• Utilize general hand tools, jib, and overhead cranes.">
• Understand and apply G-code for common machining operations.">
• Learn to set up and operate any new machinery added to the assigned departments.">
• Check parts using standard gauges or precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, depth micrometers, and dial indicators.">
• Submit parts for inspection as required.">
• Read blueprints and understand general GD&T principles.">
• Evaluate, inspect, and document the condition of dies and die components.">
• Log the status of the job.">

Requirements

• ">
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing environment.">
• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.">
• Legally authorized to work in the United States (Verification of employment eligibility required at the time of hire).">
• Compliance with ITAR requirements (U.S. person status).">

Preferred Qualifications

• ">
• Preferred machinist certification.">
• CNC machining experience.">
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.">
• 3+ years of experience operating mobile equipment.">
• 3+ years of experience using hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.">
• 3+ years of experience in relatable machinery operations.">
• Ability to read and interpret product prints.">
• Ability to use inspection gauges and instruments.">
• Capability to set up machinery for operation by self or others.">

What We Offer

• The pay range for this position is $20.14 - $25.59 per hour.">
