Job Details

PAE Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in San Francisco, CA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering concepts, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Energy Modeling. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the AEC industry.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of deliverables and documents, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Provide engineering direction and guidance for the project team.
  • Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction.
  • Oversee mechanical load calculations.
  • Complete the project within the budget and schedule.
  • Utilize knowledge of other disciplines and direct interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Edit/write specifications; provide input into standards.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and mechanical engineering design principles.
  • Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.
  • Provide opinions of probable construction costs.
  • Perform site visits and issue reports.
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering for discipline work.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related work in the AEC industry/built environment required.
  • Advanced understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Energy Modeling.
  • Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables.
  • Develop the ability to assemble and run a team.
  • Strong delegation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Thorough understanding of AutoCAD/Revit.
What We Offer

PAE Consulting offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $98,000 - $130,800 annual, straight time overtime pay, and a comprehensive benefits package, including performance bonus, employer-paid health insurance, 401k account contribution, professional development reimbursements, hybrid work cadence with commuter benefit, cell phone stipend, life insurance, and disability benefits.
