Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor with a positive attitude to join our team at Skookum Contract Services. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restroom Cleaning: Sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls, and doors. Restock supplies, collect trash, and replace liners. Sweep and mop floors, following cross-contamination procedures.
  • Office Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum according to schedule.
  • Halls and High-Traffic Area Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum according to schedule.
  • Entrances and Exits Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean entry doors according to schedule.
  • Trash Management: Empty trash in office areas, lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and supply closets according to schedule.
  • Supply Restocking: Restock supplies according to schedule.
  • Dusting: Dust in restrooms, shower/locker areas, and supply closets according to schedule.
  • Stairwell Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wipe handrails according to schedule.
  • Shower Cleaning: Clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, and mop floors following cross-contamination procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid State Driver's license required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance company.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, swing shift position at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Lakewood, WA. The successful candidate will be required to work independently in a fast-paced environment and maintain stamina to perform assigned duties.
