Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency situations and calls, including evaluating the need to notify on-call personnel and following designated procedures.
  • Monitor and secure all security equipment, complete scheduled patrols of the campus, and check and secure all exterior doors in all buildings.
  • Challenge any trespassers on campus property and maintain awareness of vehicle traffic and traffic policies.
  • Have knowledge of the campus, including equipment areas, phone systems, emergency fire equipment, and emergency pendant systems.
  • Write and distribute reports for all incidents and report safety hazards and maintenance requests through the WorxHub software program.
  • Provide maintenance and housekeeping services as directed by leadership staff and provide non-emergency residential services that do not conflict with the main security purpose.
Requirements
  • High school education and two years of experience in security or a related field.
  • Current state driver's license (CDL preferred) and a good driving record.
  • First aid certification and experience in emergency medical situations.
  • Ability to read and write in English, communicate with employees and residents, and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, work under flexible conditions, and adapt to changing situations.
  • For California candidates, must maintain a valid and current California Security License.
