Job Overview


MikroSens Elektronik is on the lookout for a Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on the development of MEMS processes for microbolometer sensor arrays, emphasizing pixel design and fabrication tailored for CMOS-based sensor technologies, particularly in thin film applications.


Key Responsibilities


As a MEMS Engineer, you will engage in:

  • Collaborating with scientists and fellow engineers to establish performance objectives for processes and devices.
  • Designing and executing process flows, innovating new methodologies, and exploring alternative processes to enhance device characteristics.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation and controls, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Characterizing and recording process outputs, performing necessary tests and measurements on devices and thin films.
  • Ensuring that process equipment is well-maintained, diagnosing issues, and coordinating repairs when necessary.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in semiconductor or thin film processing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with photolithography, deposition techniques (including PVD, CVD, ALD), dry etching, and wet chemical processing.
  • A strong foundation in semiconductor physics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective collaboration.

Work Environment


This position involves light manufacturing duties requiring extended periods of standing and walking in a clean-room setting. Adherence to clean room protocols is essential.
