Job Summary

CareFlite is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ground Paramedic to join our team. As a Ground Paramedic, you will be responsible for delivering safe and high-quality advanced emergency care to patients transported by our Ground Division.

You will be the primary point of contact for patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that their needs are met. Your expertise in emergency medical procedures and protocols will be essential in providing timely and effective care to patients in critical situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate emergency vehicles in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as CareFlite policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles and report any issues or required services.
  • Assist flight crew members in loading and unloading patients for helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft transports.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and medical personnel to ensure smooth and efficient transports.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • Current State of Texas certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Current PHTLS Certificate or obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Current PALS Certificate or obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Current Dallas City Ambulance Attendant Driver permit.
  • Current Texas Class C driver's license.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. You will be exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and required for specific tasks or areas.
