The role of the Host/Hostess is essential in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests at Regis HR Group. This position involves managing the flow of patrons within the restaurant while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the seating arrangements and maintain the guest list, ensuring a smooth rotation of tables.
- Manage the reservation system, including taking and confirming bookings, while accommodating special requests.
- Welcome and greet guests as they arrive, setting a positive tone for their dining experience.
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and keep track of the waiting list.
- Guide customers to their designated dining or bar areas.
- Distribute menus and introduce the serving staff to guests.
- Bid farewell to customers as they leave, ensuring a lasting positive impression.
- Collaborate with the wait staff to optimize seating availability.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, team members, and guests.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security, reporting any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management.
- Ensure personal appearance and uniform are neat and professional.
- Utilize clear and professional language in all communications.
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Be prepared to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and lifting items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Demonstrate flexibility by being available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in the restaurant or customer service industry.
- Strong customer service skills are essential.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to remain on feet for long periods.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Salary: $18.00 per hour
