At Dominican Village Inc, we are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our Culinary Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents, guests, and team members.
Responsibilities:- Prepare meals in a timely and consistent manner, adhering to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Cook and assemble meals, utilizing culinary techniques such as butchering, sautéing, and brazing.
- Collaborate with culinary staff, nutritionists, and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs, allergies, and food intolerances.
- Order and inventory food and supplies, monitoring stock levels and rotation to minimize waste.
- Assist with menu creation, recipe tasting, and special event planning.
- Ensure a clean and sanitized work environment and stations.
- Inspect food products and supplies as needed.
- Proficient in English.
- One (1) year job-related experience in food preparation in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- ServSafe Manager Certificate.
- Local Health Department Food Handler Card.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
