Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As an integral part of our Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilizing sterile and aseptic technique.
Acquire and process imaging data, ensuring high-quality results and accurate documentation.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.

Requirements:

Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography.
Radiologist Technologist certification through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners or applicable state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.

Working Environment:

The work environment is clinical by nature, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, body fluids, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and peers on a professional level.
Knowledgeable in sterile technique, imaging acquisition, and data transmission.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, operating manuals, and product information.

Additional Information:

This is a non-exempt position, and the scheduled weekly hours are 40. The shift and cost center information are as follows:
