Histology Technician

Job Summary:

Discovery Life Sciences LLC is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to contribute to the success of our dynamic team. As a Histology Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality tissue samples for microscopic evaluation, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our scientific discoveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissue samples for histological examination using routine procedures, including embedding, microtomy, and staining.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of prepared slides, adhering to strict quality control standards.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of sample preparation, staining, and storage.
• Perform special stains and immunohistochemistry procedures as required.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or a related life science.
• Board of Certification (BOC) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Histology Technician or related role.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Location:

Newtown, PA or surrounding areas, with a 5-day work schedule, typically starting at 8AM local time.
