Education Requirement: Master's degree in behavior analysis or a related discipline, along with BCBA certification.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a range of behavioral support services tailored to individuals facing behavioral and social/communication challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stay informed about current trends and advancements in developmental disabilities and aging.
- Demonstrate a collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for the success of the organization and its services.
- Ensure adherence to State and Federal regulations, as well as CARF accreditation standards.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
- Prepare comprehensive reports for quality management and executive reviews.
- Engage in community outreach for public relations initiatives.
- Administer and supervise behavioral assessments and functional evaluations.
- Develop tailored goals and objectives for various program settings and create behavior support plans based on assessment data.
- Implement effective data collection systems to monitor behavioral progress and ensure goal achievement.
- Conduct training sessions for parents, caregivers, and educators.
- Create educational materials and provide resources related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other evidence-based practices.
- Train behavior technicians on individualized care plans.
- Oversee initial training for RBTs.
- Monitor treatment sessions conducted by behavior technicians.
- Facilitate interventions in natural settings when appropriate.
- Review documentation and data collection from technicians, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain regular communication through voicemail and email.
- Provide ongoing oversight of individual programs and conduct weekly supervision meetings.
- Complete all required documentation promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
- Generate written reports detailing behavioral recommendations for stakeholders.
- Respond to service referrals in a timely manner.
- Participate in professional development meetings and conferences.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Maintain confidentiality regarding all information related to the organization and its clients, in compliance with the Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) across a spectrum of skills.
- Experience in staff training and supervision.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in behavior analysis or a related field.
- BCBA certification.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, and interpret medical histories, assessment reports, and relevant data. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of effectively communicating in group settings.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data in various formats.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to address practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different formats.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands of this role may require the employee to perform tasks that involve using hands, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE:
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely consumer progress notes.
- Ensure that consumer records are updated regularly as per funding requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
