Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at SourcePro Search, LLC. This pivotal role involves contributing to the development of our client's radios and cutting-edge research initiatives.

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the software portion of MAC (Medium Access Control) and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols, developing network management software and web interfaces, and implementing various security protocols and encryption algorithms.

Additionally, you will create audio streaming and push-to-talk voice applications, analyze and enhance product security and robustness to comply with regulatory standards such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria, and develop testing software for product performance and reliability assessment.

Designing and maintaining device drivers and board support packages for ARM and RISC-V based systems, as well as customizing Linux systems and scripting, are also key responsibilities of this role.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Over 5 years of experience in embedded system software development.
  • Proficiency in C programming and demonstrated experience in Linux kernel driver development.
  • U.S. Citizenship, required for eligibility due to involvement in U.S. government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with various security protocols and encryption algorithms, including CNSA suite.
  • Experience in socket programming and familiarity with Internet/Ethernet protocols.
  • Understanding of MAC and Networking layers in communication systems.
  • Experience with AMD UltraScale+, MPSoC, and Microchip Polarfire SoC BSP support package development.
  • Proficiency in IPsec (Internet Protocol Security) and Linux Interrupt Service Routine development.
