About the Role:

As a Medical Device Assembly Specialist at Abbott Laboratories, you will play a critical role in the production of life-changing medical devices. You will work under general supervision, performing a combination of assembly, weld, x-ray, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, electronic systems, and related medical device assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
  • Troubleshoot issues and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
  • Perform routine/preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize accidents.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable, and quality issues can be addressed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a medical or other regulated production environments
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions
  • Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages
