As a Telemetry Technician at Haywood Regional Medical Center, your primary role will involve monitoring, analyzing, and documenting the cardiac rhythms of patients under telemetry observation. You will be tasked with identifying and resolving issues related to telemetry monitoring devices while also assisting with fundamental patient care activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms of telemetry patients.
- Document observations accurately and promptly.
- Troubleshoot telemetry equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
- Assist with basic patient care, including monitoring vital signs and supporting personal hygiene tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Completion of a foundational telemetry monitoring course.
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
Certifications Required:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Licenses Required:
- Nursing Assistant Certification.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or a higher-level Cardiac Certification.
Department: Radiology/Imaging Services
Schedule: Full-time position with day shifts, including rotating weekends.
