As a Nurse Administrator at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day administrative functions of the nursing administration department. Your expertise will be utilized to assist in maintaining performance improvement and CQI activities within the department.
Responsibilities- Act as a resource for EPIC support for nursing staff, wound care, patient admits/discharges, and inpatient diabetic education as well as bed planning and staffing.
- Consult with chief nurse executive, physicians, nurse managers, and charge nurses on nursing problems and interpretation/application of hospital and nursing services policies and procedures to ensure patient and staff needs are met.
- Participate in staff scheduling processes in conjunction with the Nurse Managers and the charge nurses on each nursing unit.
- In the absence of administrative presence, serve as the house-wide administrative representative.
- Current RN License in the applicable state of practice.
- A minimum of three years current inpatient hospital experience. Critical Care experience is preferred.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, EKG. NIH within 60 days of hire and annually.
