Histotechnologist (Temporary)

Lighthouse Lab Services is a leading provider of laboratory personnel, and we are currently seeking a licensed Histotechnologist to join our team on a 13-week temporary assignment. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for processing human tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for microscopic examination.

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens using various techniques and equipment.
• Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides of surgical specimens.
• Section and mount tissue specimens using a microtome and microscope slide.
• Perform immunohistochemical tests on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
• Process mounted sections through routine and special staining procedures.
• Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments.
• Perform equipment maintenance and record log data accurately.

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of experience in Histology or an Associate's Degree with 5+ years of experience.
• ASCP Histology certification or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience with routine histology procedures and equipment is required.
• Immunohistochemistry experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently within a team and strong attention to detail is essential.

This is a temporary assignment with a shift of Monday to Friday, 2:00am to 10:00am. The salary range is $25-$35 per hour, depending on certain factors. If not local, a per diem package is available.
