Unit Information:
The 8 South PCU is a 25-bed medical unit that focuses on the care of adults with complex medical conditions. The unit is staffed by experienced Internal Medicine Physicians and Residents.
Patient Care:
The unit specializes in managing both acutely and chronically ill patients, ensuring high-quality care through a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, with a goal of achieving 1:4.
Requirements:
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- All travelers are expected to float within acuity as needed.
- All requests for time off must be submitted upfront.
Shift Details:
Day shifts consist of 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
