The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Nuclear Medicine Physician/Nuclear Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Daytime primary coverage of imaging and therapeutic services with home call split between the faculty members as primary coverage from 5 pm to 8pm Tu-Mo and backup support to resident coverage from 8pm to 8am
- Faculty must be comfortable with high volume diagnostic practice as well as management of a busy therapeutics clinic, including participation in both clinically available radiopharmaceuticals and involvement within department sponsored clinical trials
- Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Nuclear Medicine Division of the Department of Radiology:Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Nuclear Medicine Service.Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Nuclear Medicine Service.
- Education, Training, and Faculty Development:Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
- Research and Scholarship:Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovationMay serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trialsServes on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department, as appropriate
- M.D., D.O., or Ph.D. in imaging and/or imaging-related fields
- Board certification in Nuclear Medicine, or Radiology with subspecialty certification: (ABNM, ABR, AOBR)
- Subspecialty fellowship in Nuclear Medicine if no Nuclear Medicine residency
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
- Must support and embrace the diverse and inclusive culture of College of Medicine, the Medical Center, and the University
