Job Title: Elementary Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking an Elementary Teacher to join our team at Uncommon Schools. As an Elementary Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a love for learning in every student from the very start. You will co-teach and build an engaging and joyful classroom environment that encourages mastery and empowers students to engage in academic discourse.

Responsibilities
  • Instruction: Teach the basic principles of mathematics, reading and writing to build students' literacy skills, and an ELA curriculum that prioritizes meaningful texts and topics that are interesting and relevant.
  • Data Analysis: Meet weekly with your principal and/or instructional coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments.
  • School Culture: Build positive relationships with students to ensure they feel seen, loved, and heard, and partner with students' families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their children's learning needs.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who is committed to the mission of Uncommon Schools and has a demonstrated commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and prior experience working with K-12 students in urban schools and communities.

Benefits

Uncommon Schools offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $64,700, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
