Position Description

This part-time role involves working 24 hours on the night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. We are looking for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiology Department who possesses extensive clinical experience and a deep understanding of patient care for a specialized population. This professional will utilize the Synergy Model for Care to tailor care for each patient and family, while also serving as a resource for colleagues and a strong advocate for patients.
  • Bed Capacity: 38
  • Patient Demographics: Cardiac stepdown unit focusing on medically managed cardiac patients and those undergoing minimally invasive cardiac procedures
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • A valid, active, and unencumbered nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board is required.
  • BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification may be required in specific departments.
  • Note: Current LPNs within the Emory Healthcare system who complete an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure may be eligible to transition to the Nurse Clinician title while participating in the Resident program.
