Neurology Nurse Clinician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulatory Nurse to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our neurology clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care and education, working closely with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and education, utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient care, ensuring adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Document patient care accurately and completely, utilizing electronic health records.
- Develop and implement health and wellness education programs for individuals and groups.
- Act as a preceptor and mentor to other staff and healthcare students, supporting their professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Assist with lumbar punctures, administer medications via IV and IM routes, and perform visual field testing.
- Complete MRI safety screenings and provide patient phone triage, obtaining prior authorization through insurance companies as needed.
- Diploma in Nursing (not high school diploma) and current Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in Illinois.
- Certification and licensure requirements, including completion of continuing education regarding acute stroke patient care.
- Leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
