Join Sanborn Western Camps as an Adventure Camp Counselor and embark on a journey of a lifetime. With 6,000 acres of on-property land to explore and off-property trip permits, you'll have endless opportunities to develop your leadership and technical skills while influencing the lives of children.

As a member of our team, you'll live on camp property in one of several tents or cabins, immersing yourself in the camp experience. Our focus is on creating connections with nature and connections with each other through fun and adventure.

Some examples of program areas include:

  • Backpacking
  • Mountain biking
  • Rock climbing
  • Horse packing trips
  • Canoeing
  • Archery
  • Swimming
  • Sports and science-based activities

Basic qualifications include:

  • Assistant Counselors: 18-19 years of age
  • Counselors: 20+ years of age
  • Coordinators: 21+ years of age

Experience in the outdoors or working with kids is preferred. We're looking for enthusiastic, resilient, and flexible individuals who have completed high school and are willing to be a contributing member of our camp community.

Our benefits include:

  • Base salary starting at $2,700
  • Room and board: lodging, meals, and laundry valued at $2,025 for the summer season
