Overview:
The National Youth Advocate Program is seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a Community-Based Clinician, you will work in the community as part of an integral service team, providing advocacy and support to youth and families. With a focus on living safely and successfully in the community, this role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: $63,000 per year

About the Role:
In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will provide individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management, transportation, and other professional services to clients served. Your daily travel will take you to various locations, including client homes, to provide In-Home Services. You will meet with each client 2-3 times per week, coordinating and monitoring services for the youth and family in the community mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management, transportation, and other professional services to clients served.
  • Manages a small caseload, traveling daily to provide In-Home Services to and on behalf of youth and families.
  • Coordinates and monitors services for the youth and family in the community mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • LSW or LPC required.
  • Experience in providing both individual and family therapy.
  • Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
