Job Overview

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Administrator to support our DISA JITC TEC II program. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining internal and external networks for the organization, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, with experience in evaluating, analyzing, maintaining, managing, or improving telecommunications system performance. They will be responsible for conducting network capacity and performance analysis, recommending upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment, and ensuring the established service quality levels are met.

The Senior Network Administrator will also be responsible for troubleshooting network performance issues, identifying and resolving problems associated with server hardware/software, and ensuring scalability and appropriate integration with other systems. They will provide technical support and guidance to network users, optimize the functionality of networks and systems, and diagnose and recover failed systems.

This is a brand new effort to support DISA's mission to conduct DODIN operations for the joint warfighter to enable lethality across all warfighting domains in defense of our Nation. DISA provides, operates, and assures command and control and information-sharing capabilities and a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure in direct support to joint warfighters, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of military operations.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal and external networks for the organization.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
  • Conduct network capacity and performance analysis.
  • Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
  • Ensure the established service quality levels are met.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues.
  • Identify and resolve problems associated with server hardware/software.
  • Ensure scalability and appropriate integration with other systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to network users.
  • Optimize the functionality of networks and systems.
  • Diagnose and recover failed systems.
Requirements
  • Requires a Master's degree; or a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience; or an Associate's degree and at least 8 years of experience.
  • Must have an Active Secret security clearance.
  • Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization.
  • Performs technical assignments in the general areas of C5ISR, AIS, and IT/NSS, applying broad technical knowledge in one or more areas on specific systems or applications.
  • Requires specialized experience in evaluating, analyzing, maintaining, managing, or improving telecommunications system performance.
  • Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, self-motivated, proactive team player.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and critical thinking skills.
