Job Summary

The Senior Fleet Mechanic at US Foods, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our diesel equipment. As a seasoned professional with extensive hands-on experience, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, trailers, and other heavy-duty equipment.

This position requires a strong understanding of technical repair procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with drivers, technicians, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with diesel equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, trailers, and other heavy-duty equipment
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
Requirements:
  • Valid Class-A CDL license (DOT certified preferred)
  • 7+ years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
  • Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification (or both)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $22-$38 per hour, depending on relevant experience and education. Additionally, you will receive benefits such as health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm. Occasional overtime may be required. The starting pay rate is $22 per hour. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
