With over 6,000 employees, our health network includes USA Health University Hospital, USA Health Children's and Women's Hospital, USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute, USA Health Physicians Group, and the Frederick P. Our team handles 200,000 clinic visits and 400,000 outpatient procedures annually. We deliver 3,000 babies a year, more than any other regional hospital, and treat patients through 60,000 emergency room visits annually. We have several critical care units, including MICU, CCU, surgical/trauma ICU, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, and a specialized COVID care unit.
As the region's only level one trauma center, only burn center, and highest rated stroke center in the state, we provide advanced and innovative patient care at USA Health University hospitals and clinics.
Job SummaryThe Department of Internal Medicine, Whiddon College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pulmonary/Critical Care provider to join the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
Responsibilities will include teaching students, housestaff, and fellows, patient care, performance of pulmonary-related procedures, and basic and/or clinical research. The chosen candidate will join our division, comprised of 6 faculty members and 9 pulmonary fellows.
Qualifications- Successful completion/in process of completing an ACGME accredited Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Fellowship program
- Board certified in Internal Medicine and BE/BC in both Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain medical license/DEA for the state of Alabama
