Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, measuring and calculating laboratory protocols, and providing oral summaries of preliminary findings to interpreting physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all cardiac imaging, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
  • Measure and calculate laboratory protocols according to established procedures
  • Provide oral summaries of preliminary findings to interpreting physicians, if requested
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all patients in the Echo department
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams

Requirements:

  • Registered Medical Sonographer or Reg Cardiac Sonographer certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or accredited Cardiovascular Technology program
