Job Summary

The Country Club of Columbus seeks a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee the day-to-day food operations. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and their guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the high standards of our members.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food and beverages, ensuring consistency and quality across all outlets.
  • Manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and development, to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate with our events team to create customized menus and dining experiences for special occasions and events.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and best practices, and implement new ideas and techniques to enhance our culinary offerings.

Requirements

  • Culinary degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Proven track record of success in managing kitchen staff, controlling costs, and delivering high-quality food and service.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, and ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
  • Experience with menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including purchasing, receiving, and storage.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
